#Transactional Email
Transactional email is the automatic mail a website or application sends in response to a user action, such as order confirmations, password resets and contact form notifications. Recipients expect these messages within seconds, so a delay or a spam-folder landing directly hurts sales and support. Transactional mail is often sent by a web server or a plugin that nobody has configured for authentication. Separating it from marketing mail protects it from the reputation risks of bulk campaigns. The articles under this tag explain how to make these critical messages arrive reliably.
